    Worst subject: mathematics.

Cannot relate to it. Algebra, etc.

Art - I wasn't born with it. I think one is born with potential skills & talent. You either have it or you don't. Same with math, IMO.

I did very well at the history/languages topics. Did well in Biology and Geology because they were interesting to me, especially geology.

I can never understand why people find it difficult as it is just a simple game at school level. But they do...
Really? You can never understand why some people at school found some subjects difficult?

Seems a fairly easy answer to that one, surprised you still can't figure it out.

Humour me for a minute here, I really am trying to understand: In your school geometry was a separate subject from Maths, but "Science" included Phys, Chem and Bio?

It is a close run thing between Maths and Sports as to which was my worst subject. Sports win by a short head, my PE teacher reffered to me as, "a remarkable example of physical illiteracy". MH.

Prat! Sorry, but in my eyes anyone who understands, let alone likes, maths is a prat. (Basically because I simply couldn't get my head around it)

Nice story. I had a 'concentration problem' in Elementary School in Grosse Pointe and my teacher Miss Hess, HUUUGE woman, was simply brilliant in controlling it. Teachers make the difference.

Nah, kanji gets easier the more characters you know. And very logical when you understand what the radicals mean.

Then why didn't you list it, Latin, as a choice.

'Other Language' doesn't count -- it's not even a real language, being dead and all that.

    My answer - Latin!

    German.

    Mainly down to the teacher.

I enjoyed Latin, because the lessons were interesting.

And easier: Caesar adsum jam forte. Me, I had a sandwich.

Science full stop. Bored the pants off of me. Probably because of the shite teachers, because it fascinates me now. English was another, even though I got an O level in it. That was because I had a teacher who wouldnt give up on me (thanks Mr Mattingly).

My favourite subjects were Maths, (I`ll make any figure equal what you want it to), History, Geography, and German.

School was crap. Ive learned much more since I left. Teachers are cunts, who dont like anyone who wont conform. If I had the time, I`d home school my son.
I aint superstitious, but I know when somethings wrong

I was talking about Maths, not "some subjects"

and no, I cannot understand as maths at school level is the simplest subject

very little to remember, most of it can be worked out logically

Languages were the worst. I hated them

My maths teacher was rubbish, so that wasn't much fun either. I got a very good grade though as I had a private tutor.

Humanities were my best. I could remember nearly everything taught because history and geography were interesting to me. I could walk through the exams without doing much in the way of work (geography projects were a pain in the arse though).

It is often the case that a bad/overworked teacher early on in any subject can ruin that subject for some

if you don't get maths from the beginning, the tendency is to turn off and not get involved.

I had great Maths teachers who I respected. At one point, I was bottom of the class in most subjects (I hated the school) but top in Maths.

Later in another school, I had a French teacher with a beautiful body, which seemed to help me pronounce the words correctly

My worst subject was French, had a real crappy teacher. Took the mock 'O' level and got a minus ha;l mark, as I had spelt the word for France wrong. Best subject was woodwork and technical drawing, easy peasy for me as me old man was a time served carpenter and joiner.

Is French on the list? Hated French with a passion. Our school had this funky new room with loads of equipment where you would sit together as a class with headphones on and listen to some garlic muncher waffling on. What a load of old cack that was. Fortunatley for me, that classroom looked out over the netball courts and on a windy day you would cop an eyefull of those huge blue knickers the girls would wear back then

I really hated math, but it mostly had to do with how the teacher taught. The subject was dry to begin with. What a difference when you have a teacher who makes you interested in the subject that you are learning.
