Thats lucky. You might have wandered into scampys by mistake.Originally Posted by jandajoy

Must make amends immediately with the lasagne I have in the fridge, it is being kept in a clear plastic tub thing.
does the tub thing have an airtight plastic lid?Originally Posted by Moonraker

Indeed it does, and the tub can conveniently be used on a microwave. I chose this particular lasagne because I was able to actually see it before purchasing thanks to the transparency of the plastic.does the tub thing have an airtight plastic lid?
It is now that I have just began consumption, although it wasn't previously, no.Is it partially eaten?
It tastes quite good.
I've been known to buy lasagna from the supermarket.
If you don't eat it all, will you be putting it back in the fridge beneath a layer of clingfilm, or in the original tub with the lid replaced?Originally Posted by Moonraker
I am quite sure that I will eat it all, in fact I may need more food after.
Should I choose to leave any though, then I will almost certainly simply replace the original lid as I am eating it directly from the tub.
I may keep the tub for future storage of other foodstuffs.
fokkin 'ell
I thought I was devoid of a life. You've all proved me wrong.
Best to clean it well though. Hot soapy water and an abrasive sponge to prevent staining.Originally Posted by Moonraker
I'd go with a non abrasive when there's plastic involved.Originally Posted by jandajoy
Probably good advice. If you have 2 of the Moonraker type tubs, you could use 1 to keep the cleaning sponges in.**Originally Posted by The Fresh Prince
**Do not put this in the fridge. Early morning sponge consumption may be very unpleasant

As stated before, we're fairly well total Pescatarians/Vegetarians but we'll eat meat when we feel like it and it's good . . . so, today my wife asked us to meet her for lunch, she'd take a longer lunchtime and we'd meet at a Chinese dumpling place.
Now, aside from chicken feet, which I know other posters here like KW eat, she doesn't do the 'weirder' foods so I was surprised because instead of ordering from the menu she went straight here:
and ordered the ear and tripe.
First came the tripe, which I don't really mind . . .
Relatively calamari-like tender pieces with a nice chilli whack.
We also had prawn/pork/chive dumplings and char siu bao. (which we couldn't finish (THE THREAD TITLE) and had to ta bao)
I guess sh will miss having her CNY reunion with family . . . whereas I say - Thanks Frig.
I'm not so sure fish is as healthy as it once was, flavoured as it is now with PCBs, Mercury and microplastics - we're doooooooooomed
Talking of which I find it amusing that these purveyors of chemical slop masquerading as dairy products have been told they must stop advertising their products with cows and other dairy-related themes.
Vegan 'dairy' products face EU ban from using milk cartons and yoghurt pots – and UK could be next
