Ants/termite problem ... what to do?

I just bought one of the above mirrors, and noticed that it had some ants, boring holes through the frame every evening.

I've never had problems with Ants or termites before, my understanding is that they can be a real problem to get rid off....

can I get it sprayed or fogged?

buy turpentine to rub on it daily for a week ?

or burn the whole thing and count myself lucky?

Buy a leather lounge suite. Give those termites something to really get their teeth in to.

We had termites in our wooden floors last year. Every couple of months a guy would come round and kinda inject something into the wood. I was never completely sure what he was doing because you and the animals have to leave the house for an hour or so.

Should be able to wipe them out with spray. Buy any you find that is specifically for termites and give the buggers a full dose. May have to repeat if they persist. Biggest problem might be the damage they have done already. They tend to eat the inside and leave the outside intact. Push on the frame in a few spots. If the wood crumbles then you may have to replace a section or just chuck the whole mirror.

Get yourself a ULV fogger,be careful with it if you have pets, best seal the mirror in a piece of polythene then fog it.Do it outside if possible leave the mirror sealed in the polythene for a while job done.
ULV will kill most bugs, Mosquitoe, Cockroaches and Rodents so keep an eye on the dog or cat if you have one.

Find all the holes and use one of those pressure termite spray cans with the long thin metal applicator and spray it into the holes.

Make sure you find every small hole and spray deep into each hole.

You could also check for their boring sound and if the room is completely quite. Once there is no sound you have ridded the termites.

If there is still a boring, munching sound get the smallest possible drill you can find, drill in the back of the mirror in that area and use the long thin applicator to spray the internal cavities that the borers have created.

Apart from that I would return the mirror and get my money back if I was you.

Just get some of that Chaindrite spray, that should take care of it!

If it doesn't, drop me a PM and I'll give you a brand of poison that gets rid of everything...I plan on using it soon for my Mother in law!

Termites, unfortunately one needs to spray. As for ants? Remove their access to a food source - they'll leave attentively.
