Got stung yesterday on the wrist by a wasp/hornet like insect. It just darted out, stung me & went back to the paper nest it was building very close to where I was repairing a fence. Needless to say, being the kind soul I am, I nuked the bastards with Baygon & destroyed the nest.
Anyway, it was very painful for a short time (more painful than an English wasp sting) but the pain died down very quickly. Today, though, I have a large red lump (about 2 inches in diameter & hard) where I was stung. Have even had to remove my watch. It looked like a large wasp or hornet, but was black with a couple of vertical stripes. Anyone had any experience of these? Are these inflamations normal after being stung by them?
What is the worst thing you've been stung by in Thailand and what was your experience?
