Sheep viciously stabbed at ACT high school

TWO sheep have been killed in a vicious case of animal cruelty at a high school in northern Canberra, police say.
ACT Policing said the two sheep, part of the Lyneham High School's agricultural program, were attacked between midnight and 8am.
It is not known how many people participated in the attack but police said the offender, or offenders, climbed over a six-foot-high security fence and into a paddock where both animals were kept.
One sheep, which had been stabbed five times, was dead when staff arrived at school, while the second sheep had been stabbed twice and had to be euthanased.
The attack follows a number of similar incidents in western Sydney recently.
On Monday, four chickens were beheaded and their bodies strewn across an oval at Nepean High School in Emu Plains.
Last week, six chickens and a turkey were decapitated and a goat blinded at the same school and two chickens were killed at nearby Cranebrook High School.
Police have urged anyone with information to come forward.
