Bird Flu - Swine Flu - What next?

So we still got bird flu and swine flu travelling around the world, countries killing off thousands of animals just in case, when bird flu was in the news big time Thailand went round killing thousands upon thousands of chickens all over the country, I remember going to a KFC on the way to Chiang Mai, it took me a couple of minutes to realise there was actually no meals on the menu that had chicken in them.

So whats going to be next? What if it is dog flu and the authorities in your area decide all the dogs must be beaten to death and sent off to doggy heaven, would you agree with it if you had pet dogs? What else could you do? Maybe cat flu, or goldfish flu, would you agree with the wholesale slaughter of your pets?

^ small re write and update is in order

Sheep 'Flu Epidemic Is Sweeping The Kiwi Valleys

A recent outbreak in New Zealand of, what was thought to be H5N1 swine

'Flu, has, in fact, turned out to be rather less sinister, and has

mystified Health officials in the area.

Local medical experts say Sheep Flu has spread like wildfire in the

valleys, with more than 7000 reported cases in the last two weeks.

"These are the first recorded cases of Sheep Flu in this part of the

world", said vet Dai Davies, adding "it's almost unknown outside Britain

    and Wales."

The virus is thought to be the non-fatal W001 strain, and it can only be

    contracted by "extreme intimacy".

Farmer Evan Evans, who used to be a shepherd before he developed a

liking for bigger cattle, said he'd had the 'flu, but that he was now

    better.

"My thingy doesn't itch anymore, Bro, and the rash has all but cleared

    up."

Mr Evans also claimed that the illness was quite common in many parts of

New Zealand, and that sufferers were more than willing to put up with

the discomfort, for the pleasure it brought them.

"I keep all my sheep indoors nowadays, in the bedroom. When you have

them at such close quarters, you're bound to get a few sniffles and

    snuffles, aren't you?"

Kiwi health officials have warned the public against complacency, and

have issued a statement telling potential sufferers of Sheep 'Flu to

lock up their flock, and to see a veterinarian immediately.

Roderick Morgan, from the Royal St David's Animal Fondling Hospital in

    Dunedin, said:

"In some cases it can be quite nasty. The sheep don't seem to mind, but

it's best to leave the fleecy little darlings alone for a while."
and now for some emails - - with this embedded

You beat me to it, but didn't get it quite right. The infected falang becomes obsessed with ALL bar girls, but it's not that bad a way to go!
