Country of Birth, as opposed to Nationality

From my Sri Lanka Pictorial thread ( https://teakdoor.com/travel-the-world...on-anyone.html ) I found that there are more people here that are of one nationality but were born in another country, so I thought a poll may be a 'good' idea.

I'll start, I was born in Thailand, but I am not Thai, due to my parents working here.

We left four years later due to my parents being posted to Lebanon.

    Anyone else?

So that would be one vote for Australia from you, then. (Irish, as in heritage?)

Little confused Hat. Clear about country born but not sure what you mean by Nationality. I was born in Canada, became an American citizen. Father was Ukrainian and mother was Scot. Reckon I should indicate Canada even though I carry an American passport?

I was born in England and therefore am refusing to vote as the UK in reality no longer exists if it ever did.

And that's just me being stupid. I started this thread precisely with you in mind and then promptly forgot to indicate India and Ceylon as an option. I guess Rest of asia would be most appropriate

    A blond moment, sorry, mate

No, my father was a diplomat and we are therefore exempt from the possibility . . . but I do have some dip's kids who have dual nationality, e.g. US, France, Chile etc . .

You forgot to nominate Utopia or God's Country PH.

That makes me an Aussie and for those that have not realized it yet as I don't generally like to brag about the fact.

English/ Irish parentage born Sydney, Australia.

Born in the UK, grew up in Oz. Two passports, numerous rights of residence.
But ironically, live in Thailand where I have no right of residence. that sucks.

Just once, for a holiday, as a kid. It must have changed a lot since then. I hear Canada's even more of a bizarre PC playground than the UK. Fancy having an entire region dominated by the French? Dreadful.
