I move to Thailand on a 12 month O type visa in 10 days time. Thats as permanent as Thai immigrtaion will let me go for now.
Just sold up everything in UK so no plans to return. I would be coming nywy, the TGF is a bonus i had not factored in to my original plans.

You can't find anything meaningful for 2500 baht. Just bring her a nice set of flowers and take her out to a fancy restaurant where you won't find too many lowlife farangs dining. Why do you have to present a gift to her anyways?

How good's her English? Would she understand 'limited edition' or 'one of a kind'? If so, a little one-off teddy bear. PM me, I know loads of places (or used to :( ). The big ones are very expensive, but you should be able to get a small mohair, glass-eyes, bean filled one off bear for 50 quid. Appropriate for work opening, cute and unique.

Why do you want to present the gift in front of all her co-workers? Is the gift really for her or for them?

I thouhgt of an idea, take it or leave it. How about a home-made gift basket of things from your home country (England?) Things that you can't really get anywhere else. A mix of food items, body products, maybe some small art or craft item, and a small teddy bear as NR suggested.

As some posters have suggested that the budget is on the mean side, i should perhaps mention that the GF is not the stereotypical money driven type. She is well aware of my financial circumstances, and not materialistic in the slightest. When i have tried in the past to buy a her gift, i have been admonished for it. Hence my terms of reference and budget.
I am on friendly terms with her co workers and she is used to me meeting her at the office at the end of the working day. It is my intention to surprise, rather than embarass her, and, as some have mentioned, use it as an opportunity to big her up with her colleagues.

Give her an expensive pen and a blank signed cheque. Tell her she can write what she likes in the amount bit. View it as a bit of a test. If the amount she writes is to big, cancel both girlfriend and cheque. Hopefully she will write one baht and all will be happy. :)

And a small hamper of goodies for her mates.

Plan B
Send polished dildo instead of flowers.
Arrive naked with freshly waxed bollocks.
Throw gold bars around the office to distract colleagues while i deliver welcome package to GF.
