Well, the USA did win 2 Olympic Gold medals (1920 and 1924) in rugby. We sent over a squad of college kids from University of California at Berkeley, Stanford and Santa Clara.

You gotta love those college kids. They have plenty of cando spirit.

Rugby union was played at the 1924 Summer Olympics in Paris. Three teams entered - France, Romania and the United States

    Wiki.

Well, they were going to get a medal no matter what happened, weren't they?

Not that this would stop any true patriot from waving the flag and proudly boosting about it...

No boast khun stroller, just a mention from the record books.

1920 the score was 8 - 0. 1924 it was 17-3. You gotta love those college kids. California kids to boot.

I suggest you need Mark Twain's advice; "It is better to be silent and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt."

Seriously, I've come across decomposing dog carcases that are less offensive to the senses than you are. Maybe you wouldn't come across as such a jellyfish-sucking mental midget if you'd had enough oxygen at birth; if your weren't so fat that your cereal bowl has its own lifeguard, or if you didn't have a face like a bulldog chewing a stinging nettle while taking a constipated dump in a heat wave. No, come to think of it, you would.
In conclusion, thank you. We were all refreshed and challenged by your unique point of view, pothead. Now get the hell out of here!
It was posted long ago on otter channel. I had it saved for enjoyment.

Yes, Slimboyfat, the author I was talking about is Paul Theroux.

And sorry to those people I insulted by comparing rugby with American football! It sort of looks similar to me, and I tried to guess where American football came from as I am sure someone didn't just make it up out of nothing. But maybe they did?

American football did devolve from rugby, so your thoughts are not too misplaced.
