The best way is with a .22 at about 100m, between the eyes. That way they drop dead almost immediately and you don't have to chase after them in the hot sun.
Course the professional shooters do it at night from the back of a big pick up truck with spotlights. The roo freezes in the spotlight beam and blam, another one for the tally.
That tail makes it very easy to hang them up for skinning and curing the meat.
i;ve lived here a while and i,ve never herd of a troop of roo,s its always been mob, and i,ve eaten and fed me dogs roo quite a bit, actually got a nice pelt under me feet now,mind you my missus calls it 'that flea bitten fucking thing' the floor pelt that is, not me
