Thailand Tattoo Festival Wat Bang Phra

Has anyone ever been to this Tattoo festival? A friend of mine invited me to go with him on the 7th March.

I'd never heard of it before so here is a link to a blog about it and a couple of youtube vids.

It looks like everyone sits around meditating and working them selves up into a frenzy until they think they are possessed, then they take a running charge at the coppers and have to be wrestled to the ground.

Looks like a load of bollox to me but it should be good for a laugh.

Why on Earth you'd want one of those ridiculous Thai style tattoos I don't know.

Get a large phallus tattooed on your forehead. It will have much the same effect and you'll be easier to identify.
