Why do small groups of thais stood or at together shout to each other?

Children, adults, it makes no difference.

This is a common difference I see. It must be a difference, because I never see adults behaving like this in the UK unless drunk. Basically, they speak 3 times louder than they need to, so that people 10 metres away can also hear the excitable group conversation.

Any idea why? I think it makes them look like non-self-aware retards.

It's a human warning. Dont even think about ficking with us, or you'll go deaf. In the uk its taken a stage further by a senseless beating. In LOS, a senseless shooting. Each to their own.
    Or just "'ave a word".

I often wonder, do you even pay attention to people outside of Thailand? You describe a scene I could put any number of colors on the face of. If you think Thai are unique in this respect you need to get out more.

^ I was in a khaosan restaurant the other day. All of the occupants of the thai tables were shouting loudly to each other despite being only inches apart. The westerners in the place were conducting sophisticated, mature, decent level conversations that I could barely detect.

Sorry, but this reminds me of bubble-brained retard behaviour, however much thaiophiles might find that offensive.

How do you know if they were mature conversations if you could barely detect them?

Ever been to a pub in the UK Smeg?

Really? reminds me of being anywhere with Americans?

There are many many groups in this city, many you do not observe.

Is this the sort of self serving post designed to make a worthless cock look good. The sort that we have come to expect from a dick like you?

    I think so....sad case.

Out come the Thaiophiles I see (YAWN....)

It's annoying and unnecessary but Thai folk know no better. They shout loud cos they are happy and wanna celebrate their short, miserable lives.

In their eyes they could get run down by some hi-so drunk driver (who'd no doubt get away with it) at any moment in their lives, but they would be terrified of challenging the 'class' that are driving said vehicle, so they would put it down to 'fate' - It was meant to be.

No matter how much you try to convince yourself otherwise, you will still always be half Thai Pat.

The loudest people I have ever experienced is in Shanghai China.

I have not really noticed the OP claim here in LOS apart from the fact when Chinese Thai men speak on a mobile phone (especially in a Restaurant) it's as if he wants everyone to know how important he is.

I'd agree with Chinese. Used to amuse me (OK, I'll admit it, it used to piss me off!) that a group would get on a bus, each person in the group would proceed to sit in an empty double seat, often nowhere near each other, and then they would have a very loud converstion.

How is pointing out that people of many different nationalities have that characteristic being a Thaiophile? No-one's saying that Thais don't do it, merely that a lot of others do too. BTW, what on earth is that in your av? Hope it tasted better than it looks...
