Thread of the week award.

Yep, time to recognise the excellent work that a poster has put together with a "Thread of the Week" award.

Every Sunday arvo, those present online, will be able to vote for their choice of "TotW".
To make it workable, we'll restrict it to the Captain's Lounge but maybe there's an out clause just in case one gets moved to members.

The award will be a sticky on the front page for the duration of the week.
Of course this will be a league as well with a table running on the side so, as you've likely tumbled, there will be a "Thread Starter of the Year"

Criteria will focus on threads with over 45 posts within the week, bulking up threads with the usual mindless chaff will result in exclusion.
No special favours for nudies (appreciated nevertheless) as the membership will select the winner.

I beg to differ, there's some serious discussion going on over there - it's all I can do to hod some of them back - it's always going to be a touchy subject, but it's one that had to be brought forward.

The opening post may be a pile of tosh....Not that I'm bitter that this is yet another contest that I have no chance of winning.....I've only ever won one competition and that was a competition for the person least likely to win a competition...I won that twice.

It could be a lottery danbo, that's a fact.
heaven forbid, if posters find something remotely interesting in NickA's thread and it takes off (prolly have to be a Smeg post!) he could be the winner.
It also helps to point folk in the right direction to have a good read, or to wonder why a particular thread was selected.
