Really? Less construction going on in Pattaya than before, or other reasons?although the next few months are looking pretty grim
maybe due to all the farangs throwing themselves off some balcony before making paymentOriginally Posted by Skulldigger

NOthing worse than the smell of mildewWhy do you think God invented deodorant?
We just installed the air-conditioner last month.. guess how much the electricity costs me.... 1629.37 Baht!!!!!!!! Since I was born, I have never paid this much.![]()
Seems very reasoable. I paid 943B last month and I don't have AC.
When I had a two bedroom house in BKK (no air con) my lecy and water was combined was rarely over 500 baht. Now in my apartment in Nakon Pathom they are always at least 900 baht (with air con but I never use the fucker)
The reason for this is if you have a private house you pay 4/5 baht direct to the EAT per unit. Apartments jack up the price to 6/7 baht a unit ... ****s.
They champion falsehood, support the butcher against the victim, the oppressor against the innocent child. May God mete them the punishment they deserve
I run a 12K BTU all the time in the upstairs bedroom with the door open so the cold air falls down the stairs and help downstairs.
During the day while we are down there we run a 24K BTU and shut it down in the evenings when we go up to bed.
The bill was 4500 Baht last month but it has been awful hot this year, running 100 to 105 degrees F daily. [37 to 41 C.]
We run 12K in the upstairs bedroom all night set @ 25, and run the down stairs unit of 12K set @ 27.
The up stairs is at least 12yr old, and down is a new carrier. My bill runs from
1900B to 2800B per Mo.
During the day we just let the upstairs get hot and the down stays nice and cool.
But if they keep raising the rate I think ill look into getting a Listeroid!.
Mine are set on 28 upstairs and 27 downstairs, but I have bad emfazema and living in the moo ban the air is very dusty with all the farm traffic and since they made the road in front of the house cement and dump trucks dropping large chunks of mud and dirt on it and the PDA farm cars and other traffic driving 80 KPH thru the village the air is so dusty that it gives me continual lung infections that we run the aircons to filter the air too, plus cooler is better seems like for my breathing.
Wouldnt have a clue about the water and electric bills as thats the wifes job to look after that stuff but I know the power is half the cost of what it was in Bangkok
I don't like airconditioning.
Either the feel of it or the cost.
My bill is rarely over 650 baht a month.
Mrs C has the air and the fan on most the time, though same Rig, the bills aren't my business
Dunno,
A bit concerned it's going to be high since I spent the first two weeks lying on the heated flooring trying to keep warm.
Taking 30 minute showers because I was too scared to step out into the colder air.
Been up to no good with those Korean chicks yet Q?
Nope.
I don't go out if I can help it.
i use the a/c in the bedroom every night, got it set on 24 as i likes the cold.
use it occasionally in the living room when the fans don't keep me cool.
bill came to 1,700 this month. not too bad considering really.
Fok, I got my bill down to just under 2,000baht a month and I am happy, trouble is now is the fokin hot season so it's time for aircon again and expensive electric bills![]()
