Maybe something like this would be better - การช่วยเหลือนี่โถระศัพท์[insert name] ...[insert contact number]
^ not sure if this makes much sense, might sound like something straight from "Allo Allo", maybe get some Thai sheila to write something more coherent.

that's a point. got one online now. Thormy, where and when do you want the phone delivered... if that's gonna happen.
ผมลืมโทรศัพท์เครื่องนี้ไว้ ช่วยโทรกลับหาผมที่เบอร์ XXXX ด้วยครับ ขอบคุณครับ
Insert your landline/other phone number in the XXXX bit.
^Translation: Hi, A*hole. Give me my phone back or I'll get Marmite to punch you upside the head.
Could be someone interested in returning it.
OK looks like I'll have to get a Thai to try sending an SMS.
So many people have my number anyway that now I only answer calls where I have the person's name programmed in. I was beseiged by teachers all trying to get free information off me.
I see fish. They are everywhere. They don't know they are fish.

If the person is in Bangkok the best thing to do is to call the British Club (I'm a member) and arrange to deliver it there. If they organise a suitable time I can be there and let the finder have a reward. The club is on 02 234 0247
^WTF has that got to do with your lost phone?
^
Tis the reason why I won't need to change the number. I only answer numbers programmed in to the memory.
I called just now, somebody answered, they said that you need to send me 10,000 B and get me back 500,000 in taxes and they will give the phone back.
^
Only ThB 500,000 They don't work at Shrewsbury then.
If you dont get your phone back and you want to keep your old number go to any Telewiz store if your on 12call or if your on Dtac any of there stores and so on they will give it for free. Its good for numbers you have lost on your phone because at least you can save their numbers again when they call the number they have for you. Good luck hope you get it returned.
Got the afternoon receptionist here to call the number regularly this afternoon. This has the added bonus that I get her number if the phone is returned.
I am heading for the 1-2-call shop as they were superb the last time I lost my phone (fell out of my pocket on a motorsai last time).
Absolute pain in the butt all of this.
I've cancelled the old simcard and got a new one. The phone hasn't been used today- still got over ThB 500 credit. I'll give them one more day before getting Nokia to disable the phone entirely. I have the master number for the phone.
For what it's worth, your credit should be transferred to your replacement SIM.
Good luck with the phone.
well , that will teach you to stop hanging around with DJpatOriginally Posted by Thormaturge

The phone has turned up.
Should have it later today - it was in the friend's car.
The lesson learned here is to keep phone numbers in my filofax in addition to my mobile phone memory.
Seems phones in this apartment block are incoming calls only now. Even reception can't make outgoing calls, except for a pizza or McDonald's. WTF?
And you got the extra (disabled) sim. I've got a back up sim from another country. I use that to back up my numbers every so often. Lose the phone? new sim, same number, new phone, copy backed up numbers to the new one from the back up, good to go.
