Thanks for the heads up on sit-ups milky and buadai!

I find I am doing more stretching exercises as I have noticed a lot of downcline in my flexibility, I should really jog the 500 meters to the beach and go for a swim I suppose, that was the original idea of moving to this place where I am now, maybe tomorrow I will.

A lot of people don't need to exercise because of their jobs, e.g. lumberjacks. I've never once seen a lumberjack in a gym.

All lumberjacks are gay...I read it somewhere, unlike farmers that are so manley and cool

I think the working thing with a hangover is that it increaces you metabilisum, flushes the evil alchol poison type things out.

Happened to me once before but much worse, that time I felt something twang and the pain was incredible - I couldn't breathe and thought that I was having a heart attack. Looks like I'll be taking it easy on the exercise for a few days. I think swimming is a great exercise. I used to be a 'swimmer' - every day, miles and miles. Can't face it for 5 minutes now. I'm all swum out.
Were you doing barbell or dumbbell Uprigth rows?

If the weight was light you might have pulled something.

Do you warm up a little before lifting, and also start your reps with a very light weight (e.g. 3 kilo) and do a warmup set.

^It was on a station on one of the stack systems. The weights were not heavy at all, although it was first thing in the morning and I didn't warm up properly. Bloody annoying. I think I'll be okay on the running/step machines though. I have to keep going else I'll very quickly get into the routine of not going and that way lies a 36" waist.

Exactly. Consistency is the key. Even if you just walk or stretch or some other limited workout at least you've done it and spent the time. Once you start making excuses, they never end.

That's an urban myth. They simply put on women's clothing and hang around in bars.

Does anyone know if that is true? I've always assumed it, but I suspect that all that is sweated out is water and salts. I read that hangovers are mainly caused by dehydration - It may be that the sweating makes you thirsty and you rehydrate yourself in compensation.
I drink Black Label and water. I rehydrate while I dehydrate.

he weights were not heavy at all, although it was first thing in the morning and I didn't warm up properly.
Not warming up may be the reason.

A pre-workout warmup to increase your blood flow and temperature a hair, and a warmup set of the same exact exercise, with super light weights. This tells you muslces and ligaments what is coming.

You can sweat booze out if your sweating a lot while your drinking.

Part of the cause of the yucky feeling from a hangover is from being dehydrated.

If you really are hitting the booze hard (and in the heat of LOS) you could even drink a little Gatoraid to replenish the electro-lytes.

    Happy training, with the lumberjacks.
