Playboy king Hugh Hefner has split from his number one girlfriend Holly Madison, casting doubt over the future of reality show The Girls of the Playboy Mansion.
Twenty-eight-year-old Madison — who was one of three women to share the infamous Playboy mansion with the aging sex symbol — confirmed she had walked out on the seven-year relationship in an impromptu interview with gossip website TMZ.com
"I have no pull anymore," Madison replied when asked if she could get the interviewer into a mansion party.

"Hef and I aren't together."

One of the reasons behind the split may have been Madison's desire for children — a desire Hefner, 82, did not share.

The age gap is huge, but is it fair to want to have a child with a man that old? How old is too old for a man to become a father? She started a relationship with this guy when she was 21. Apart from his money, what was she thinking?

Seriously, though. She's had seven years living in a mansion, attending parties with celebs and having anything she desires bought for her. OK, not my cup of tea & not yours. But, what would she have done without him? Porn 'star'? Prostitute? Stripper? Lap-dancer? Her attributes are obvious. If she does have a brain, great, maybe she did manage to squirrel something away. If she doesn't, well, she just had seven years of comparative luxury as part of a trade-off she was very willing to enter into.

OK, as I said, not my cup of tea, it disgusts me, but bloody hell, we live in a country where we see this every sodding day.

Pretty girl, possibly lacking education meets up with older man significantly richer than herself or her family. Opportunities present themselves for her (& maybe her family's) lifestyles that a hundred years of her working flat out at whatever job she might be able to get could not afford.
Pretty girl weighs up the pros & cons & decides that she can put up with the cons, because the pros seem so significant.

What's the big deal? Heff, Peter Stringfellow et al in the West - every beer bellied, Chang vest wearing, non-Thai speaking, sweaty eejit with an 18 year old in tow that you see - here. It's an economic trade off.
