The Estrada and Arroyo administrations have been denying the Abu Sayyf and Jemaah Islamiyah free reign to plunder and kill the evil farmers of Mindanao and Basilan and Jolo for years.

They've also been targeted with more bombs in Manila directed at innocent civilians than you can wave a cell phone detonator at.

My military service was in the submarines . . . but spent most of my time in Brussels at NATO HQ . . . couldn't fight my way out of a paper bag . . . a wet one.

Ask him to retell the story about the AFP Army trying to negotiate with the media for exclusive coverage (payment) of the rescue and release of several western hostages -- and trying to outbid the Navy who were doing the same ~ 2002. All in collusion with the captors.
