Thread: It seems some people just want to argue!

Have you noticed there are a handful of people on here that just want to argue? Somtimes they start really good dialogue on interesting topics. But are just laying in wait for a fight. They will not respond to any good posts just the negative. At first I really thought they were really up for the issues they were talking about. Now I just believe it was just a pose so they could fight. Not really a problem with that except they are using it as a crutch. I know I lot of people are punished for what other people have done. But what they do not seem to realize is how stupid it makes them Look. I know that I am not the sharpest tool in the shed but what does that make these guys
So My question to everyone is why do we help them? I know I got sucked in because the orignal post was something very interesting regarding current events. But it is the same fight over and over even on some posts that are not even pertaining to it. I know I have posted off topic many times but not to fight. So at the end of my ramble I ask myself why?
You say you want peace but you fight. When you try to make everyone see it your way.( it will never happen) Maybe if you try comprimise.

It's called "trolling". It's a fact of forum life. Get used to it.

The people who practice this art have a form of mental illness. Be kind to them and try not to feed them too often.

Well I know I have been accused of trolling but not on this site but it was a real circumstance. But these guys are giving some decent people a bad rep.

Just have laugh mate dont take anyone on a forum to seriosly as people are different when they are on the net probably most the guys that I think are twats if I met them in a bar and had a few beers I may even enjoy there company. Except the muslims of course because they wouldnt be in the bar to start with they would be off banging there heads some where

Just remember, it's entertainment. If you find yourself taking it too seriously, take a break and do something else.

Also remember that most of the "characters" on a board like this are fictional creations and not real live people. It's an escape, a way to kill time and have a laugh.

Make a reasoned, logical argument and I will take it on board. Spout nonsense or propaganda and I will kick your arse.

I think you are seeing things from an odd point of view. Myself and others like to play devils advocate and start controversial topical debate threads, and I always hope that people will remain on topic and respond with interesting intelligent topical points. I will always respond to this kind of reply, where there is something to be added or discussed. However, a number of forum users are more often than not incapable of doing that, or of avoiding threads started by members they don't like, and instead choose to respond off-topic with nasty personal insults and analysis, time after time, in an attempt I presume to trash the thread by turning it into a flame war. Hence, maybe those are the people you should be venting at.

How do you know that is not who I am venting at? But I would say your post has a vague ring to it
