Agreed. Although I would not waste hate on her, she's just uninteresting, something mildly irritating to screen away.

Seems like a wasted emotion when your remote has an on/off button. Why not focus that hatred on the regime in Burma? Or the Chinese rape of Tibet? Or Mugabe? Or George Bush (although, you must admit, he is funny).
Bournemouth - that gave me a laugh.
Where or with whom, a person rubs genitals has no bearing on attitude or ego.
This thread is hampered by a false premise.
never watched Ellen. Only know her from the odd article in mags. And never liked her. But then again she managed to score a couple of hot blondes in her time. Which I will give credit for.
Oh, dear, Obs, didn't anyone listen to you the first time you said it?Quote:

^^ I am not saying it is boring. I am saying the premise is false. Sort of the same point you were making.
Live and let live, if they don't bother you why be bothered to give them a minute of thought, who gives a flying fork ?
I draw a perverse sense of enjoyment hating some things. Live and let live would mean not hating anyone, paedo's, rapists and murderers included.
Hating someone puts you on the same level as them, indifference puts you above them.
So hating a pop star or celebrity puts me on the same level as them?
I dont think so somehow.
OK, apologies, read it wrongly. :D
I don't think you're correct, though. I think Ellen's sexuality does have a bearing on how she does her show. It's just that I quite like her & her bias doesn't bother me. I find hearing about her wedding with Portia or her political views re gay rights more interesting than diets & weight loss or 'I'm an abuse victim' with Oprah, or table settings, ponchos and prison stories with Martha. I think everyone's experiences & preferences be they sexual or otherwise, shape them and different attitudes or egos appeal to different people.
It could be argued how could you like someone you don't even know alsoQuote:

Also, ease up on finding irony in everything -- the revelations day after day have somehow lost that dramatic zing they once had.
And one last request. Try just once to make a reference to sarcasm without referring to it as gaping or laughing yourself silly that someone has fallen in.
Thanks.
I am not Sweet Baby Jesus or OBS.
some people and their narrow minds have nothing better to do in their mundane lives than accuse others of being someone else.
^And the people who actively try to be others; those that play silly games on an internet forum and swap logins?
What does that say about them?
It does for me. When she cuddles her femail guest I always wonder if she gets moist ? Same goes for her male guests, when she hugs them. Does she cringe ? I have a tendancy to compare her greetings when meeting a man or woman. So for me her sexuality has a bearing.Quote:
