Thread: I Just Handed In My Resignation

Odd feeling; part excited, part nervous, and, to be frank, part scared.

Went well though, my boss, sorry, soon-to-be-ex-boss took it well and wished me nothing but the best for the future. As I knew he would, good bloke and all.

So anyways that's one chapter of my life closed, another to be opened shortly.

You staying in Thailand though or going back to NZ??

Been offered another job, still here in Chiang Mai but a change's as good as a break (or so they tell me )

I handed in mine two weeks ago...still no job. Looks like I'm going to KL later this week to work with some dodgy bloke. Big transistion and not looking forward to it, but fok the fokkers I left behind; lifes too short, good luck Ant

I resigned a week ago. Will probably take a year's break

Yeah pretty much. No issues with the job or my boss but I just kinda felt like I was stuck in a rut and it got kinda tedious (see my post count! ). Didn't want to look back in another 5yrs and think 'what the fock am I doing here??'.

It's far easier when your've got a another job to go too and as I believe you have.

Good luck anyway mate and yes a change is as good as a holiday.

Does this mean that you'll be going back to that job in a couple of months and sitting at your old desk and carrying on as if nothing had happened?

I'm afraid I couldn't possibly comment on that right now, I'm undecided.

Big change is sometimes needed. Good time to move on and do something new. Best of luck, Ant. I know you'll do well.

Very jealous, after 4 years in the same job I wish I could pack it in on the spot, although only 7 months left before I can escape. All the best with the new gig AR.

Good luck mate, know exactly how you felt. I up and seeked greener pastures in the UAE Trouble was there's nothing green in the UAE
