Foreigners married to a Thai for at least 5 years could own land - and have one year to sell off the land should they divorce.
It would be good if they put spaces between the words in their hieroglyphics. Sometimes it makes my brain hurt trying to work out where one word ends and the next one begins.

Re: Residency - I see nothing wrong with the permanent residency rules. Easy to get if you want it.
