I'm a fan of the author CS Forester. African Queen, Hornblower series....
Here's my story. Mine original stood for Red Rocket which was the name the police gave to my car after they pulled me over in 1992 when living in the States (115mph in a 55 zone). Did a search and the closest personalized license plate I could get was RDROKIT. I later sold the red car (Ferrari Daytona Spyder) but in California the personalized plate stays with the original owner so I put it on my new black car (Camero SS) and it then stood for Road Rocket. All my friends call me Rocket as it is my driving style as I am a retired racer and classic muscle car restorer.

Got a cat in BKK and couldn't decide what to call him, so I just used the Thai word for cat which I thought sounded cool.
Thais in the neighborhood think it is amusing, especially when they ask me "meow cheu arai?" and I just say "meow".
I miss Danbo.
Mine came from 'Round the Horne', a program on BBC radio some years ago. It could have been 'Mooseblaster', but that didn't have the same ring to it. Basicly, I am not good at remembering log-ins, so I needed a strong memory one. I used up all the good 'Goon Show' ones a long time ago.
A cross between being a Ry Cooder fan, a gearhead (Harley Earl), and a touch of good ol merican redneckishness.
And it was easy to remember.
Thanks again, guys. Interesting to read how all these came about.
What about English Noodles and Old Croc?
People used to call me Squirrel when I was back in the Toon.
i'is an english teacher and so found that capitilization and punctuatuon to be easy
mrsquirrel was used.
It has caused much confusion over the years. is it mrs quirrel mr squirrel or just mrsquirrel.
Thanks, MrSq. Always wondered about that......
I just spelt the one I had over on TV the right way.

I prefer to look at Scamp than your av Tao,especially the bottom bit.
Huh? What's wrong with Tao's av? I like it. Though I must admit, this is my fave of Scampy's. Very nice.
Before I joined this forum had never thought of having a nic. As I'm a gardener thought of something to do with gardening so 'Propagator' it is.
^And before the Internet I just had a name...
^ Before the internet I was either old git, stupid sod or pratt
Always used WhiteShiva: on TV (before being banned) on Soc.Culture.Thai, Soc.Culture.Singapore, google groups and probably a few others forums as well. So when I came here, I just stuck with teh same old nic - it is easier for me and easier for people who I have "cybermet" in the past.
Any error in tact, fact or spelling is purely due to transmissional errors...
