    T-Shirts on dogs

Why do Thais see fit to clothe dogs?

Surely its fur will be enough to keep it nice and warm in Thailand's chilly climate.

Neighbour had a half coyote/shepherd named Dolly. (The mail and newspaper were always thrown from truck windows.) Dolly got arthritis and was always dressed in a long-sleeved striped sweater in the winter.

^ But why do Thai people do that to dogs, particularly sick or injured ones?

    Are they thick or something?

Oh, FFS. You do talk a load of bollox sometimes, Noodles.

While I agree that clothing dogs is unnecessary & could be cruel in this weather - I clothe our rescue dogs & pups (particularly at night) in the cool months. If they sleep outside & they are very young, their resistance to disease can get low.

Do any of these look as if I'm being cruel to them?

That's some of our pups & one of the paraplegic dogs in the cool spell we had December time. Obviously, they're not wearing t-shirts now (now I'm clipping hair to make the long-haired ones cooler), but they were quite happy to wear them back then.

Causing your dog to look ridiculous and therefore to be mocked by the other dogs, is akin to animal cruelty.

Her reasoning was: "It's dog fashion". Reason enough for women. Case closed.

Tell you what. Next cool snap (Dec or Jan) I'll send Ebony (the paraplegic dog in the pic) to you. While she cries continuously cos she's cold, you can explain to her it's for her own good so she doesn't get 'mocked'. Deal?

i notice that it is often childless couples who go in for this dog dressing business.

actually I wouldn't mind fitting my son with a choke chain but some do-gooder liberal would only complain to the authorities.

If girls are happy wearing muzzles, collars and leashes surely dogs can put up with wearing an old t-shirt?

I have also noticed a disturbing trend whereby people refer to dogs as 'fur kids'

    ^ That's sick.

Hey everyone, I've just figured out why dogs in hot countries have fur anyway.

It protects them from mosquitos, right?
