Siam Commercial is for me. One of the best banking experiences I have had in Thailand and back home. Friendly service wit smile and efficiency. You will not wait in line for hours like other banks I have seen.

Well I have heard stories but I do not know if any of them are true. I have heard of people putting large sums of money in thai banks then finding the money missing. And the authorities doing nothing about it. Of course this is urban legend but I do not want to be the one to find out. I would like to keep my money out of the U.S. if possible! Has anyone had there money ripped of from a bank?
If you have had good luck with a offshore bank pm me and let me know the name of the bank and contact details.
Don't under estimate the power of stupid people in large groups!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Transfered money from the UK to Siam Commercial and it was all there within a day (normally takes 5) and a lot more than expected (got an exchange rate of 75 when the rate was about 73 to the pound) and generally they seem quite good.

Haha, I will be meeting with him next Thursday!

I did end up going with him and got my first 3 month payment the other day - worked out at about 8.5% return so gotta be happy with that.
