Well done DE, we both know that you made the right decision. In the scheme of things, 9K GBP is not a big deal and ememies you do not need. Female ones, that you have had a relationship with, you need even less.

Though I appreciate that she will probably hit you very hard when she finds out that you want to leave her, it might be best in the long run, IMO. You are the only one who knows her well enough, so take precautions and get it over with. No sense in dragging it out.

Take the money, use some of it to find another man she would get along with, offer him some of the money for expenses to date her. Use your knowledge of her likes/dislikes/fears/dreams/ambitions to prep the new guy, so that he will appeal to her.

Then, you can wait for her to dump you; or, become less than your usual wonderful self for a while, and let her think that she might be better off with the new guy.
