Much as I hate the git, I very much doubt Thaksin is behind this. It's some twat in middle management who made a mistake. Go back in - ask for copies of the form you 'filled in wrongly' & copies of the notes they gave you to tell you how to fill the form correctly (I'm assuming there are no such notes - so then it's their obligation to make sure the forms are filled correctly, right?) & your contract & any other bloomin' paperwork you can think of. Thank them sweetly and tell them your next stop is lawyer/CAB/union/Industrial Tribunal/Newspapers/all of them. If they don't cough up, carry through your threat.

I'm not afraid to share my life & experiences with the other members here, regardless of how far-from-perfect my situation is. Most of the people here have the politeness & decency to take on board that not everyone is perfect & in some cases - such as mine - can simply be woefully lacking in guidance.

I've calmed down now. When I started the thread I had only just been told & was fuming.
