Monumental amounts of Leo for my hotel room fridge goes without saying, so long as I check in before 2pm. Otherwise I'm buggered and have to wait until 5pm for the Leo, or stay in the pub all afternoon, etc etc. I cannot say how frustrating the Thai licensing laws are at times and how they completely disrupt my itinerary at times.

Anyway, to my knowledge I've never left any bottles of Leo in my hotel room fridge, but I've lost count of the number of times I've left half used bottles of Meiji milk. I never know whether to pour the milk down the sink or to leave it in case someone will make use? I still don't really know, to be honest.

But anyway, if ever your missus gets a job in Bangkok please give me a nod.

Australia was reasonably priced when I worked there 22 years ago, if appears to be one of the most expensive countries in the world now.

I moved back.here after a 15 year absence 5 years ago. Fuel was $1.00 a litre or less now it varies between $ 1.50 a litre or $2.00 it's fucked up . But I'm guessing it's worldwide. I will.post up a few supermarket prices for goods in another thread and you can do the same. It will.be interesting to compare even with pound and $ aussie dollar conversion. For example a 6 pack of lamb chops? A t bone at the grocery. Will be interesting to compare. Americans and Europeans should chime in to with what they are paying.. doesn't have to be a long winded slandreth reply

i would have though that when you not eating the left overs from short time hotel waste bins your food supplies would be sourced from the nearest abbo free food bank, and not from supermarkets where you actually have to pay for food.

BLD and his missus could graduate to dumpster diving. The jackpots would be much larger. The dumpster near my local supermarket is visible from the street so it's secured behind 2.5 meter high razor wire. It would be easier just to go inside and shoplift. The security guards don't look like they're retired MMA fighters.

That reminds me, during Covid, I was chatting to a security guard at another supermarket and the blighter was a pilot for Qantas. FFS.
