Decided on something different this year.
My three children are getting one expensive decent present and a sack full of alternative charity shop crap!

So the challenge is to spend £10 on as many weird items each per child from the charity shops.
My daughter bought this heavy wooden figure for my youngest for £3..

That's about the only thing I like about Xmas. It's great for kids. For me it's just a public holiday that you need to stock up on the goodies. I'm over it and don't bother with the Xmas tree etc but that's just me. Driving around today I saw plenty of houses had really put a lot of effort into.it
The whole yard covered in giant Santa's etc. Was quite impressed

Crimbo is great when the kids still believe Santa is real.

Putting out a cookie with milk, and a carrot for Rudolph.

Getting their first bike, Disney Princess Lego castles. Or a 1 meter tall Lego Technics Saturn V rocket, that my kid got at age 5.


Now all they want is Robux, money cards to buy things on their gaming app.

Talking to friends and family back home even Halloween trick and treaters want money nowadays, instead of glowing green neon sugar jellies and the sort.


It was better in the 90s.

I saw an inflatable lit up Grinch yesterday, it was about 15ft tall and on someone's roof, was pretty impressive!

A kind Christmas invitation to the palatial abode of Maasai Warrior Woman

She was getting busy in the kitchen with some red meat fried in African spices and garlic

So I reciprocated by getting busy with her overdue festive cringly erection

The lights were too tangly to untangle so this was my first half-arsed effort at illumination

I did a bit more illumination rearrangement before sitting down to admire my handiwork with a bitter lemon and an iced sparkling rose

Exotic smells were coming from the kitchen and we repaired to the dining table for a carnivore's feast

She ate about 3 bits of the meat so I grabbed her plate and ate hers before eating the rest of the meat straight from the serving platter

With belly bloated it was the most Christmassy I have felt so far this year. I brought her some dark chocolates which she suggested I open for her while we watched the evergreen Christmas classic Bad Moms 2, and I did not protest

I am liking her elfish sparkly green toenails but I have suggested classic red with green holly artwork which she is considering.

Tiptoe-ing out in the wee hours with the house all in slumber I had to stop as I was transported back to my childhood and I had to just stand and drink in the atmosphere of the lounge lit only by the multicolour tree lights...

I used to sneak downstairs when I was a kid to just gaze hypnotised at the multicolour lights on our family tree in the darkness of our front room and it was these forbidden moments of nocturnal solitary spiritual contemplation that burned Christmas indelibly into my soul for life.
