I think by now that most understand the word moderation. I would also believe that reports like this are general information as every one is different and some can be impacted by a few pieces of bacon a day while others it does nothing.
There are endless studies done by hundreds of universities with small samples sizes of people to achieve their findings. It doesn't mean that what is determined in the studies isn't true but there are way to many variables.
That being said, I do believe Vitamin C offers a lot of benefits to humans and why I drink a tall glass of it every morning.

I for one do not require advice or forensic examination of any products purchased and consumed locally.
If you live in the grown up democracies of the west, you will be bombarded by food labels, colour codes and plentiful safety advice.
If you reside in SEAsia, probably not so much!

For the majority here it’s probably academic anyway. All new findings about foodstuffs have been ignored for decades anyway, so the damage is done.
It is one of the few advantages of getting older. I can choose to ignore or apply any advice given, even if it is correct or not. Most warnings are superceded by later information anyway.
