We used to get home deliveries from Makro when the nearest one was in Hat Yai, but they have a new local one now since I got back from Scotland.

I used a bag of scrap bacon in a large batch of 'staff house pasta' I made tonight.

    Quite convenient.

I'll have a breakfast porridge in a couple of days once it's finished.

Tax, I hear what you're saying, but I think most of us stopped reading at 'bacon'.

    Out of fear.

I think by now that most understand the word moderation. I would also believe that reports like this are general information as every one is different and some can be impacted by a few pieces of bacon a day while others it does nothing.

There are endless studies done by hundreds of universities with small samples sizes of people to achieve their findings. It doesn't mean that what is determined in the studies isn't true but there are way to many variables.

That being said, I do believe Vitamin C offers a lot of benefits to humans and why I drink a tall glass of it every morning.

especially if it’s mixed with sparkling wine or vodka.

Porridge. This thread is about porridge.

I for one do not require advice or forensic examination of any products purchased and consumed locally.

If you live in the grown up democracies of the west, you will be bombarded by food labels, colour codes and plentiful safety advice.
If you reside in SEAsia, probably not so much!

Buy what you want, where you want and eat it or don’t.

For the majority here it’s probably academic anyway. All new findings about foodstuffs have been ignored for decades anyway, so the damage is done.

It is one of the few advantages of getting older. I can choose to ignore or apply any advice given, even if it is correct or not. Most warnings are superceded by later information anyway.

In much the same way that we are all pink on the inside, we are all subject to ongoing trends, and we will die sooner or later anyway.

Ubless you are as young and fastidious as Edmund claims to be, it probably too late anyway.

    Bon chance.

    Bud of rose
    Sprinkle of lavendar
    Grating of cinnamon stick
    Dollop of honey
    Plopping of blueberries
McGarrett's finest instant oats, 5 tablespoons of.

    Delicious.

And perfectly fueled for a morning 10km run.

it's a touchy subject apparently. I'm pretty sure he was only eating pollit for the economical benefits rather than a desire to become healthy
Turns out that bowl of pollit gained him $5000.
