    A male steinbitt (wolf fish).

I think it's a male because I can't see a woman reversing into that spot.

That’s a really weird and slightly disturbing thing to say, Begbie.

^ There's at least one thing I wouldn't recommend... you should see the teeth on these things.

These monkfish (a type of angler fish) have incredible camouflage, until some idiot sticks a bright green arrow on the picture. The arrow is to point out the lure they use to attract prey. They waggle it around on the end of an adapted fin ray, like a fly fisherman using a lure. The angler fish lure can be luminous.

This fish hung around a while and was still there when we returned a few minutes later.

    Chair today, gone tomorrow!

Slightly off topic today as not strictly speaking fish, so apologies for that.

Next time one of these silly named storms comes in from the west and passes over the Midlands, spare a thought for those Brummies who watch their garden furniture disappear over the horizon.

I guess it would be disingenuous to suggest that his one came from Reg Dingle's back garden... those plastic chairs ain't that strong and it doesn't take a particularly heavy load to break off a leg.

    I would imagine.

    A matching pair!

On my... this is a metal chair!

Well, the frog puns didn't go as far as I hopped.

Anyway... what a paradox... I think...?

    Fukked if I know...

    Cyrille?

The nets designed to catch these poor fish can also provide shelter...

A nice ling living under a large piece of trawl netting.

Or this little Norwegian haddock with it's very own sala!

(again, Cyrille... is that apostrophe correct? I always struggle with this one?)

    Sorry, no.

    His
    Hers
    Its

The possessive pronouns have no apostrophe. Simples.

It's is only the abbreviation of it is ,

One of the rare occasions when the apt phrase is it's what it is!

I see that you both dodged the difficult question about the paradox...
