I notice a couple of 'fan worms' (?) in the background. I'm not sure about the correct name, but a filter feeder of some sort.

I see with your video library you are uniquley positioned to start Only Fan Worms, slug it out.
Thanks for the pix and to Oggy for that extraordinary Starfish, does any predator like the crabs or other culture eat them?

Nid may have a nice starfish, but he is blessed with good visibility so has an unfair advantage!

Deep water usually means low energy and therefore fine sediment. This can cause us a lot of problems as this ling so ably demonstrates.

Hard hats, coke cans, water bottles etc, are great to calibrate your size estimations. You can imemdiately see the size of this ling.

I'm surprised it sunk to be honest.

Usually a hard hat floating in the water would trigger a man overboard alarm and call for a muster and headcount.
