Stumbled upon a hidden lagoon tucked away near the beach which I had never cracked eyes on before.

^Starts at Murwillumbah and currently only goes as far as Crabbes Creek but there are other sections open and parts in the pipeline that will join it all up to be about 100km long I think...

    Cool

Cheers if I return will give it a go.

That area around Mt Warning one of my favourite places, canoed the Tweed and I saw the famous gallery pre heist in I think Mullumbimby or Murwillabah? It's the place with an RSL over the river from the train station. Do you know?

Happy Holidays, I trust you will be filling stockings after the big reveal?

^That sounds like Murwillumbah Dave. Although you will be waiting a long time to catch a train at the train station these days

^Those are a tight and firm pair of well smacked peaches she is sporting, indeed.

From the polished off patina it looks like she gets a regular friendly fondle from passers by!

Council money well spent for a rare change.

Being an enthusiastic botanist I too wondered this, online image research fails to show this magical art piece from such an angle, unfortunately.

If any other botanists' search is more fruitful than mine, do please feel free to share the results in photographical form, thank you.

I was so mesmerised by her firm buttocks and erect nipples that I forgot to even look round the front, which was most remiss of me!

I swapped them for a matching golden pair. The red one was not so visible against the red tinsel

Lovely wee evo here, so onto the bikes with kiddo.

Up we mount and off we roll.

15 mins later we arrive at the lake.

    Lovely.

Amazing (and a bit sad) how time goes so fast.

Also a bit sad that the public roads in Thailand are pretty much unrideable unless you fancy meeting yer lulu sooner rather than later.

Off for a 55km mountain loop in NSW on Sunday. Good to see the locals making an effort with outdoor decos.

I think this is a Tawny Frogmouth, sadly left its mortal coil

Charming little shops along the way

    On Yer Bike-20241229_173537-jpg

As I moved deeper into banjo country I began to worry that covering my bike in tinsel and hanging two suggestive sparkly balls at the back might not be the wisest move

    On Yer Bike-20241229_173934-jpg

But I was slightly reassured by the tinsel on display at the farms

My saddle-soreness was slightly exaggerated for raconteurship

I am actually quite comfy since I swapped out the rock hard sports saddle for this thickly padded sprung bewt

    On Yer Bike-20241230_183341-jpg

I am actually sitting on the bones of my arse on thick cushion and the whole saddle bounces on springs

I am too old to be pressing my walnut onto a 1 inch wide rock hard stick of carbon

(although it would give me the opportunity to ask for another inspection at my next smoking hot Malaysian GP visit )

Gentle beach path trundle today followed by a 4km run along the sand.

I was sorely tempted by the energy drink but I went for the pepsi to test my will power

South Lismore to Bentley section of Northern NSW Rail Trail opened on 14.12.24. It didn't look as good as the Murwillumbah end but Lismore still has a bit to go to recover from the floods of 2022, so anything that attracts tourists is a good thing

^^ I see you've moved on from the 12 year old Asics, Looper. Those 8 year old Saucony's look much more up to date and in better condition.

By the way, do you have a Gold Membership card for the Australian vintage and retro footwear club?

Yes, I heard that bit had just opened. I am tempted to do a multiday trek with a tent once the whole thing is connected up.

My cycling shoes are usually a relegated pair of running shoes

The old Asics had to be relegated to garden duty after getting all dirty from charcoal while stamping out some burning embers from a campfire

So my Sauconys have been newly anointed as cycling shoes

But today I cycled 6km then stopped and ran 4km on the beach then cycled 6km back to the car, so the Sauconys got to relive their former glory as runners

    On Yer Bike-20250101_201626-jpg

When I got back to the car 1.5 hours later I discovered that I had left the back door wide open without realising. I thought the car would give a warning when I locked it with a door open but seemingly not.

    On Yer Bike-20250101_210544-jpg

I had left my Superdry backpack on the seat with my wallet in it with quite a bit of cash in it and all was untouched much to my relief and slight surprise
