Isn't there someone up on the roof there?
Combat gear.

Possibly, Cyrille. But the camo must be good 'cus I can't make him out myself.
However, for security reasons I have replanted my rhododendron bushes further away to keep them out of sniper range and out of view of the CCTV cameras that send their signals to the Intelligence unit of the Wilts-Lancs Mitty Regiment, Merlot Division.
Could not see what I was buying in the dark and rain but here they are
Beach Cruiser in metallic blue with brand new beach cruiser tyres - $37
Weird and frumpy looking Nev-style Giant Suede-Metro cruiser-commuter that does not look very cool but is insanely comfortable and has got a bonkers low 18 inch climbing gear which you would normally only find on a pro-touring bike. The padded springy seat is worth the ticket price alone at a grand total of - $50
Last but certainly not least a feather-light Kona Lana'i mountain bike - $50
^ Before you bought them, did you check the police database for recently stolen bicycles in your area, Looper?
^They are indeed suspiciously cheap Nev...
I might spend the weekend filing the serial numbers off the bottom brackets!
There's a glut of second hand bikes out there going cheap.
Just make sure you ride them far from where you bought them
Another day another bike...
I actually bought this Surly Disk Trucker touring bike 2 weeks ago on eBay for a princely purse of $610 and Amazonian Swiss Maori woman kindly picked it up for me from the Brisbane seller and stuck it under her tree.
It was then under Santa rules so I had to be a good boy to avoid the lump of coal bait and switch.
But ASM ventured down the freeway in her sleigh to deliver the goods today ...and switched up her fruit platter with nectarines.
We watched a lightning storm roll across the valley (the rain forcing a strategic mattress retreat) with some Christmas carols piping out of the lounge and an avocado honey soy dip
And as the storm settled the waxing moon did grace the sky once more upon the occasion of our 1 month anniversary...

Lovely image
Out for a beach bash when what should I come across but a Nev-Special - Giant Suede Metro just like the one I picked up for $50.
This one really does have suede patches on it.
A little bit further on I came across a bike bearing an uncanny resemblance to my blue beach cruiser.
This was fortuitous as the previous custodian of my cruiser had taken the unusual precaution of removing all identifying marks from the frame so I could not tell what it was. This pink one is not as curvaceous and pretty as mine but the DNA is unmistakable. It is an Electra Beach Cruiser. I thought mine had no brakes but this fortuitous identification has explained that I actually have coaster brakes where you pedal backwards. That was a handy revelation as I was about to fit it with rim brakes.
When the mercury topped out at 33c it was time for a swim.
I realised too late that I had not packed my bottle opener in my bike bag...
But this is no obstacle for a cunning bike bloke and his bicycle multitool
A smorgasbord of strange cloud types failed to materialise into the forecast thunderstorm
Peachy peachy
Gave my chain its first oil of 2023 and off to NSW for a valley excursion where this cow and her little cowlet were keeping their hooves cool in the pond
I wonder who mows that grass
Wetlands waterways
Another peachy sunset
Bush bashing Wednesday on a break from the storms
Beautiful collection of old ploughs and vehicles in this punter's front yard
Some of my neighbours have some impressive and even boat-worthy ponds
Gnarlicious roots
Looped down to the beach to stretch out the bike run and the water was much cooler than the pool at my rentals
Nice cool 26c day so I don't need to carry 4 litres of water with me
Nice lake with wading birds in a church grounds
A coastal return with beautiful slow rolling waves on a calm sea
Very festive Loops!
That's the first bike I've ever seen adorned with tinsel.
Although it's probably best not to ask what happened to the mid section frame piece.
I can see Looper in his old age in Pattaya, becoming a Glitterman Mark II ...
My Christmas decorations were fully sorted again on today's late arvo gravel ride after losing the top tube tinsel on a bumpy section yesty
3 donkeys but no wise men
A handsome beast. I wonder how much he charges for his gigolo squirting services.
Neighbourly tidings of joy
Tested the load carrying capacity of the new ride. The high narrow boot top means the carrier leans down away from the car instead of down towards the car on the low deep jag boot. But the bike stayed on.
Bit choppy out on the ocean
Monster cloud rearing up to swallow the setting sun
Illuminated by spooky silent lightning flashes once the suns glorious orange faded
