There's a military airport in Korat and the jetfighters (?) have been active today. Why they have to train above a big city I have no idea.

Here's one on the approach, about to fly directly over our house.

They really piss me off. Not only do we get unexplained chicken deaths which I believe are due to heart attacks caused by the jet noise, but when they fly over I can't hear the radio.

So there is truth to that eh. Back when i was a kid , we lived around Abbotsford. The Blue Angels (US Navy aerobatic team) would practice a bit. They would fly in formation under 1000 feet over my house. All of them. It was so cool i almost pissed my pants. It was loud AF. Even when they were just cruising. You could see the pilots from the ground. But a couple years later , they stopped doing that. Because supposedly a few chicken farmers in the area came to their barns an hour later and all their birds were dead.

The USAF Thunder Birds used to do it too.

Interesting interview with the Seppo who ejected from the Mig 23 at the Michigan airshow. He was the back seat pilot. Some were accusing him of ejecting early. I don't think so. He also says he was lucky that the seat worked. That's bullshit. These seats have a solid record. Even old beater Migs in Syria have been recording seccessful ejection

An excellent report. Other than the engine problem, the pilots, ejection system, the organised safety, the medical all performed their duties.
