So the weekend landed and the next pics won’t be very good.
We grouped up at my digs, got the formalities out the way and sank a few cans. Then we went along to my old local, The Foundry, and got pretty pissed.
Over 40 sport screens in here these days, and £3.50 a pint.
Typically enough a group of Thai girls all came in on a night out and parked on a table near us. We all have that 1 friend that thinks every Thai bird is a hooker or a ladyboy, and that was him off sleazing all over them now he had me as an ice-breaker and somewhat interpreter. Next thing they’re all over me asking me to put a leash on my friend.
Ignore him, he’ll get bored and go away haha.
I think they were from Khon Kaen, Nong Kai and Korat.
Lang may yer lum reek...
We all ordered burgers in there that came with Carolina Reaper sauce.
The waitress insisted that they would serve the sauce separately and it was up to us to apply it ourselves as there had been too many complaints of it being inedible.
Challenge accepted.
Mother of god that shit was hot. I got through mine, the others just dipped some chips in it and crumbled.
Loud Mate got some in his pint while he was trying to dry hump Suranee on the dance floor. He was a bit upset about it but he got through it in the end.

After that went along to a bar called The Justice Mill. It's a Lloyd's No.1 bar, which is basically a not-quite-so-cheap Wetherspoons with music n shit.
We all seemed to hit the same wall after a while in here and although we’re weren’t blind drunk, we just couldn’t drink any more.
There was only one thing for it, kebab shop.
One for the road (for them) at my digs and I was in bed for about half past midnight.
Happy with that, big weekend ahead.
Great thread mate.
That bar looks terrific and very comfortable with obviously great ambience.
Saturday morning and as I've still not adjusted to the time zone I'm up early again.
The advantage of being up early after a good scoop is that you're still a bit boozy and far from a hangover.
This was the first day the everlasting fog set in that nearly fk'd my exit strategy 5 days later.
Only one thing for it, so I heated up a pan full of chicken broth my Mum gave me.
Fantastic
With more soup in mind I ventured out to pick up some stuff from the CO-OP
Can you tell what it is yet?
A famous whiskey bar, The Grill across the road there, I'll be in there later, but right now it's only 1030 and the Foundry opens at Noon.
Ah, Willy Hills
Can't beat a fitba coupon on a Saturday. I lost.
I had another group of pals coming round this morning, as as a few were a bit strapped for cash I bought in a bunch of beers and made some...

Looked like a great night Dirk, what were the Thai birds doing up there?
Pretty much looked like the perfect start to the day
Cheers, I used to have a flat just round the corner then later rented just across the road. It used to be an ok bar then it was bought over by a brewer and became pretty cheap at £2.50 a pint with decent grub at Wetherspoons prices. I remember it being £2.99 a pint and now, a good few years later up to £3.50, with much better quality food at fair prices. More of a bar than a local pub but a pretty good one at that.
Actually, it was a barmaid that I pulled in there one time that taught me how to make...
They were married to local oil workers, had connected through being Thai and were on a girl's night out or whatever.
Normally you see them in the casino gambling their pocket money away while hubby's offshore.
My mate took one home and shagged her. In the morning she whips out the price list. He says get fk'd. She say's there's a psycho outside in the car gonna fk his shit up if he doesn't pay. £50 later and she's on her merry way.
Not much pictures from here on as I was a bit pissed.
We had a good drink at mine and finished all the soup, except I refilled my mum's bowl and brought her some after the weekend.
We ventured along to Foundry where one of my mates, who I actually met in Songkhla, asks if I've ever tried 'Venoms'.
No I have not.
What is a Venom you may ask?
Let me rephrase that: What is a PINT of Venom?
Vodka
Southern Comfort
A bottle of Blue WKD
Fresh Orange Juice.
£10.50 a pop in Foundry.
£42 for a round.
And seeing as there were 4 of us, we each got a round in.
I think we had outstayed our welcome after that, and we moved on to the afore mentioned Grill where I met an old pal of my Dad's, drank loads of pints and single malts to boot.
I have 1 photo from there:
After that I found myself in a chip shop full of Nigerians that were a right laugh.
The hilarity started when I walked in blootered and the guy asks what I want. I look around and and see all these black guys and I say, "well , I came here for a battered pizza but it looks like I might walk away with a haircut."
Now this could have went either way as I hadn't really processed what I'd just said. They just started pissing themselves laughing and got us to join them at their table. One of them was called Sunday, I remember that much.
Looking at my photos gives me an indication of timeline, and it was only 2030 ffs.
Sunday on the right was good craic, they all were actually, about 5 of them
Battered Pizza, pinch of salt.
After that I was back at the flat with a mate who crashed on the couch.
No complaints though, the next day is the big one, Aberdeen away to Rangers.
Next morning I'm wide awake about 0630 and my mate's still comatose on the sofa bed.
Only one thing for it, cook something for breakfast.
I still had some tatties, garlic, onion, chillies, mushrooms and milk left over from the Cullen Skink haul and I found some authentic Thai Red Curry paste in the cupboard.
Result.
But all I had for meat was a Mattesson's Smoked Sausage.
That'll do.
Damn that was good.
^^ bit of bread to dip in and you're away.
That's a funny story, I would have paid the 50, you could have got a begbie coming through the door.
It's a good stout, last had in Kenmore, miss it a lot.
Although I used to love the Grouse adverts when I was wee.
Whisky adverts in general were always pretty good.
Speaking of Begbie:

Absolute classic there Bones.
So a bunch of lads were round by 11am eating my curry and drinking my cans in preparation for a 1230 kickoff against the Zombies.
However, it turned out he game was at 3pm after all so once again we were a bit pissed a bit early and we headed back down to the Hay Loft bar to watch the game.
Let's not talk about the game, but we lost.
From there we headed up into the centre of town stopping at the Bridge Bar which is a small bar that will bring you straight back to the 80's. It certainly hasn't moved with the times and is the only remeining bar in Aberdeen that does not have a ladies toilet which is clearly etched onto a blass plaque on the outside of the front door.
Then we hit Belmont street for some scran:
Then we stopped for drinks in Siberia, Triple Kirks then I lost £200 playing Blackjack at the Grosvenor Casino.
I was almost home around 1am, just walking past the Foundry (closed) when I bumped into an old pal from School days and her husband.
It was raining, obviously, so I invited them back to the flat for a quick catch up. I had 3 beers left so 1 each.
Then it started snowing and we sat and spoke shit for about an hour and a half and they were on their way.
Jesus.
Weekend done!
