    It’s all gone Pete Tong.

Gonna rent a car today and drive from Vienna to Siofok, Lake Balatan, Hungary.

They tell me it’s the Hungarian Ibiza.

Sadly it didn't happen. We turned up at Lake Balatan and the whole place was a closed down ghost town.

Of course, it's Sunday, but we didn't want to take the risk as most places said they were temporarily closed on google etc.

So we hightailed it to Budapest.

Now we are here we are seeing huge billboards advertising DJs like Carl Cox, Tiesto and Armen Van Buuren, but not til next month.

It hasn't stopped raining since Friday and it followed us everywhere.

Staying at the Hotel Museum. Not too bad at all.

Will be out for a wander and take some pics tomorrow. Pretty cool place and quite cheap.

We will go to Bratislava on Tuesday, then dump the hire car in Vienna on friday and take the train to Drno (cheers for the idea on that one David) for a night or 2 on the way to Prague.

Something must be happening in Prague as the hotels are booked up and expensive.

    Hotel:

I remember staying at a hostel on a high floor in Budapest. There was rustic old style roofs as far as the eye could see. Amazing beauty. Even my 18 year old self could appreciate it

I must admit I’m looking forward to Brno.

We absolutely ripped the arse out of it in Bratislava last night.

Me and my Pal went in separate directions at one point and his phone died without giving me the address of our apartment. All I knew was it was next to a Tesco and a Lidl and ended up wandering around in the wrong direction trying and being evicted from 3 Tescos and 2 Lidls along the way until 4am when a Bolt taxi finally stopped for me. I told him my story and said to just take me to a police station or something. The boy was like, I saw you earlier, I know your district and took me home. He got a cracking tip for that.

Sweet fkn deal on an AirBnb tho.

    ^& ^^& ^^^ Agreed!

    Excellent thread, thanks Dirk.
    (Excluding the haggis)

If you get the train down to Bucharest then there's a few interesting places to stop on the way (Dracula type places...). Lots of beautiful women in that part of the world.

Isn't Brno the motorbike racing place, also has an excellent beer brewed there? Never been, but had a couple of friends from there - love to go one day.

So true about the women in Bucharest. I remember we were sat outside some place boozing and all the waitresses were serving in tiny skintight skirts. Every single one a stunner.

There were some withdrawals from the wank bank from that deposit, I can tell you.

I hear you mate, but the pics will come later.

I got a 20 quid SIM card from UK that gave me 12GB for Euro roaming. It hasn’t died on me yet.

When I have free wifi I’m either, erm, sleeping or with company, so quick posts only.

I’ll be back to work next week and once I’ve run my shit in the hole I’ll have plenty time to work through the album.

I still got a shed load of Aberdeen pics to start with.

My mates been borrowing the bandwidth for Tinder.

oh, we stumbled into a pretty good gang war of Turks Vs Ukrainians up at the Cathedral on the hill yesterday. That was pretty cool.

Can’t remember if I posted that already.

We stayed at the Marriott the last 2 night. Quite a contrast. Free upgrade and champagne on the house.

    Missed breakfast both mornings.
