Pretty quiet day here, but went for a swim after lunch and about to going dancing this evening so will probably not make 10k.., but close.
Day finished up with 21,623 steps and 224minutes active time and 1973 calories burned during active hours. Didn't swim today but did put in a 5.6km bike ride to coffee shop and back.
^ that's right
Since took the dog to the shop to get the paper and into triple figures now.
^^ How quaint.
People still walk up to the paper shop to get the paper?
I hope you brought the milk in as well?
Edit. Pogoing. You stand erect and jump up and down in time to the Sex Pistols while trying to kick the fukk out of the idiots doing the same from the next village.
Is there no culture in Birmingham?
Have you seen the price of Theme park tickets nowadays?(20 times the price of walking on a pier) or the size of Kyle Walker's nob on page 3?
You can still have milk delivered. The Krauts have taken over that here too. I don't really see the point though when I have to go the shop anyway
I had 16,000 yesterday but overnight , just checking the history ,the app docked me down to 14,000 for some reason.
Personally, I don't agree with this philosophy, nothing against you or others that have mentioned it.
I prefer a goal where I have to do more when I failed to meet the target one day and I can do less if I I have done extra on a certain day. It more closely matches my work life where there is no one else to take over if goals are not met. If it rains on a particular day and I fail to meet my target then I have to do more the next day to keep the average. If the average is too high then reduce the goal but do so at a strategic, long term, level rather than a dynamic day-to-day one.
Having said that, I really like the Garmin Epix2 Sapphire with full world map coverage and the ability to accurately geo position my nature photographs. Not only that, but I may get to find the best way out of the wood when the wife and I get lost, which has happened (to an extent) on many occasions. I may even get to find out just which camp site we eventually pitched our tent.
Step obsession - where's the intensity?
Shuffling along a supermarket aisle for 1000 'steps' is no meaningful cardiovascular load, it's just moving, no major increase in resting heart rate.
The 10,000 passive steps is not the best indicator of exertion or of fitness gain.
Nah. This was black tie. But some bloke dyed his hair green and tied it up into little twin man buns…
No offence taken.. and it isn't really a philosophy it is just how my Garmin and most Garmin's work. If my goal is higher, it means I've done a lot that day, and if I don't meet my step goal the next day it isn't the end of my world, as I go to the gym and am active. That is cool that you like the Garmin Epix2 (what year is that?). I also use the GPS when hiking to see where I've been and map my walks. My bestie has the Garmin Venu 2 which is a bit more advanced than mine. I think that one may also have the world map coverage.
