Lusting over Isla Fisher is perfectly normal behaviour. I think, however, that you should seek treatment for your desire to watch "Home And Away".:)
Maybe I could do a rerun, might keep me going til I die!

I remember getting an email from someone named Bronwyn about a job and full repatriation to Perth, Oz. I'd never heard that name before and replied 'Dear Mr XXXXXXX'.
Still got the job tho.

The best thing that happened since sliced bread, in my childhood, was Central Heating and double glazing. The day we moved from a coal fired living room, where you got dressed in bed because Jack Frost was staring out you through the window, where you waited for your Mum to light the fire and you had t remove the skin from your coffee in the morning...it was just Heaven! First central heated house we had was newly built and had oil fired heating. Anyone that suffered coal fired houses will know what I mean.
Three pints of milk a day on the doorstep...(we had plain silvertop)

Thinking of beer, can you still get a Courage Light&Bitter?
What about the lunchtime milds?
I vaguely recall you could get 4 pints of bitter and 2 packs of Walkers crisps and still get change from a pound when I first frequented the bars. That was in the public bar, it cost extra if you were in the lounge in those days.

Something I do miss is the butcher, baker, fish and library rounds around the village in England. Each a different day of the week and saved mothers having to drive to the shops. Good for the old folks too. Some milkman took over the role but now they've gone too.
Also the fish sales in the pubs once or twice a week.
Reply from Repo:
Troy, RedX was bough over by pub operator and brewer Marsten's for £55m.
It's brewed in England now.

^ Thanks, didn't know, but McEwan's Export brings back some great memories. It was the beer of choice on in the BR Buffet cars as we travelled to base back in the 70's. I also used to have to travel from Cornwall up to Kinloss in those days, could get a train up to Glasgow and then switch stations for the ride up to Inverness. It wasn't long before we switched to travelling by air with "Dan Dare" on a BAC 1-11 to Inverness airport.
Marston's Pedigree, that and Theakston's Old Peculiar were the choice draught beers in those days. Then Timothy Taylor Landlord from Keighly did the rounds with CAMRA as well as Gales HSB. But when you were on the train, nothing beat RedX.
Top Shelf in my house, Troy.
