I must admit, I'm one of the few people who really likes Paris Hilton. She's physically beautiful, silly, superficial, childish and fun-loving. Paris Hilton is to miss out on a huge inheritance after her grandfather pledged to donate most of his fortune to charity.

Barron Hilton is to donate 97 per cent of his $2.3 billion (£1.2 billion) fortune to a charitable trust to benefit the Conrad N Hilton Foundation.

That wealth includes the $1.2 billion (£600 million) earned from the recent sales of Hilton Hotels Corp and his casino company Harrah's Entertainment Inc.

Poor, Poor Paris. Only 69 million when Gramps kicks off. this of course in addition to whatever they've already squirreled away in anticipation of that sad, sad day. Does Paris already have a tidy little trust fund tucked away? bet on it.

She certainly won't be out on her arse and having to do anything as vulgar as work for a living but the gulf between a billion and few million on the ultra-rich scale of wealth is enormous and she is virtually a pauper in those terms now. The cost of running late model bentleys and astons alone means you need to be wealthier than that or you are going to start asking for itemized bills from the service shop.
