Despite protestations to the contrary by some, that is quite high. The same and higher in parts of Europe and - yes - wildfires and the like.

    Uncomfortable for sure.

I remember that heat wave back in 76, you could dig the tarmac out of the path with your finger coz it had melted.

Today everyone has been brainwashed by the media, they appear to have got stronger in the past couple of years because of Covid reporting.

Half the shops were shut today and the roads virtually empty.

However, I still got out on my bike for the quick hours torture.

So let's have a look at the data, on a global scale.

The global average temperature was more than 1C warmer this year. The change in 46 years is staggering.: https://twitter.com/SimonLeeWx/statu...98002201583617

The truly bizarre feature of this current British hysteria is that annually around 64% of the population travel abroad for holidays, many of whom expect typical temperatures in excess of 30c - 35c daily.

the media are taking the opportunity provided by 36 hours of above average temperatures to warn us, frighten us and cajole us in no uncertain terms that global warming, as brought on by nothing more than our selfish use of central heating systems and toasters is causing drought, famine, plague and instability in africa and that travelling by air for pleasure is a crime, and that we, the british people must scourge ourselves, don hair shirts and bankrupt ourselves at the altar of net zero whilst the chinese are laughing all the way to the bank.

the world has truly gone mad.

And yet the government and finance establishment are intent upon propping up the housing market by the introduction of 50 year mortgages and rolling them into legacy products to be passed on to family even though the British climate neurotics are claiming that if net zero is not reached quickly the world will end as we know it by 2090.

And they are teaching this rubbish in schools.

But the stupidest fact of all is that UK accounts for 1% of global CO2 emission production, 24% of which is derived from road transport users, and of that 60% is produced by passenger cars. So UK cars account for 0.19% of global CO2 production yet the whole of British society is to be upended in 8 years time risking chaos and misery for millions.

And all for no reason other than the mad delusion that if we don't cut emissions we are all going to burn to death or drown in floods and rising oceans in 60 years or so.

    Madness.

Global warming it may be but that graphic is wrong in all sorts of ways. It's not the way to show people there is a problem because it can be ridiculed

    Har har har.

Its just true though. Just because I am saying it doesn't make it untrue.

A neo-Malthusian reflex can be observed in the climate debate: statistical calculations link climate change to world population growth and suggest strategies for birth control. The undead neo-Malthusian ghost is being revived, with its reference to the category of ‘population’ and its colonial-racist and social-Darwinist legacies.

Met Office - Here are the highest temperatures across the country today

At least 34 sites have exceeded the UK's previous national record of 38.7C: https://twitter.com/metoffice/status...48971676012546

Dr Simon Lee - UK's hottest days of each year since 1900 updated to include the 40.3C recorded today. https://twitter.com/SimonLeeWx/statu...51986462031872

Dr Simon Lee - Splitting the dataset in two also reveals the recent shift toward hotter summer days. Climate change. https://twitter.com/SimonLeeWx/statu...97200940572673

Extreme weather: What is it and how is it connected to climate change

Carbon Brief - The UK has recorded its highest ever temperature at 40.3C – smashing the previous record by 1.6C https://twitter.com/CarbonBrief/stat...23400929693696

You need to do more than quote the first pages of the abstract skiddy.

    Did you read the article?

So, does tax exile still reckon the rest of the world should ignore climate change, because China isn't doing enough?

Great leadership, that would be. Really making a stand.

The real reason, of course, is because he'll be dead soon.

    So there's that.
