Sensitive? Seems I’ve touched a nerve. Would you like a warm bottle?
I’ve had a change of heart.
If that Fleabag woman would accompany us during our stay in the UK/London and overnight in an adjoining suite, I might consider a short visit.

depends where you are i think. my cousin lives in roppongi hills which is pretty good. ive never been to Kyoto, and i wasnt blown away with Osaka. Kobe better in my opinion.
i used to live on the shonan coast which while technically not Tokyo still part of the mess/ mass. Its like Tokyo's seaside resort. that was a really nice area around enoshima, kamakura, ofuna.
and only 30-40 mins to Tokyo station (on the right trains)
we won it at wemberlee
we on it in gay paree...
Thanks for this information mate, my daughter is planning on spending her gap year in Japan and then the degree she hopes to do will be one year in Kyoto. Japan gives a really good 1year work/ study and travel visa to some select countries. She will take two courses at a Japanese language school, get a job, travel, live with a old Japanese couple and she hopes to pick up learning a Japanese instrument to further her cultural learning. Sorry a bit of topic!
One should listen twice as much as one speaks
i realized i fibbed and forgotten i had visited Kyoto for a day once. and it was very nice, but I'm no expert. Think Cyrille went relatively recently
good luck to her, I'm sure she will enjoy it immensely.
just warn her that it feels like all the houses are made of cardboard so it gets freezing in winter, and earthquakes isn't no thing (usually)
My oldest son 14 years studying in public high school is doing very well I'n his Japanese courses. Reading ,writing and speaking. I would like to think that this half aussie half Lao son . Sparked of his interest in learning another Language( besides English and Lao) as a result of a trip we made to Japan and took him along. Didn't take his little bro. To young then he stayed with granny. Oh slightly of topic we only done a day trip to Kobe from Kyoto and was shown around by an Aussie mate who lived there. Seemed like a great little city.
^Nothing wrong with Sydney.......
but I would prefer Cairns.
It’s a nice little place AND less great whites (white tip below).
Personal preference and all that.
Cairns just strikes me as a backpacker and tourist hub to the Great Barrier Reef.
More of a resort town than City.
We are all too old for Cities now.
Bingo down Weymouth with the blue rinse brigade is where its at.
