    London or New York

Which one would you choose and why?

I'd choose New York, but I'm so pissed I can barely type

Lived in both places for 10 years or so but not recently.
NYC prior to 911 would be my pick. Otherwise London.
I haven't been to either in a while and places change (and so do we)

Formerly I preferred NYC, but the stories I am hearing recently make me wonder. It does seem that Manhattan (at least) has peaked, and is in serial decline.

Greenwich Village (my older brother has a part-owned place there) for its individuality, then Battery Park . . . aside from that several areas of Brooklyn are nice.

London? That'd be my choice, but you're English and a travelling type.

Yeah. But there's some stories about London too these days. Last I was in NY was 2012.

^ Going to elaborate? What stories?

London for me, I used to live there and know it better than NY. That's important at my age. Perhaps if I was younger then NY might get another chance

^ Very true, but they were the only two options in the question.
I am very happy now up in Isaan and wouldn't swap it at this moment in time for either.
    My family might disagree.

Because they're both brilliant cities and many people would think of them as the 2 best in the world?

Good point. Maybe I just prefer NY cos it has the travel element- somewhere "exotic."

Neither. Not a chance. No way. I can think of dozens of far, far better options.

Of the two, London has a slight edge as my spoken Urdu if better than my grasp of Ebonics.

I'm sorry Eddie, but Milan is terrible and Chiang Mai is a village where Cy lives.

Good shouts above for Barcelona and Istanbul though.

Osaka was a bit meh for me. It's gotta be Tokyo if you're living in Japan, surely?

Currently living in Chiang Mai and previously lived in London - anyone who thinks CM is better must either be insane or senile, or possibly both. And Delhi? Really?

London, for a two-month holiday. New York, depending on what's on at the Metropolitan Opera House.
