I was working in a shipyard across the street from a Maxwell House coffee processing place in Florida....the smell of roasting coffee beans was amazing.

Bacon, I'm betting even Muslims like the smell of bacon frying.

    Bread being baked

The Mcvitties biscuit factory, I used to do a drive by so the kids could have a free waft of the aroma.

A trip down memory lane for me. I lost my sense of smell about 17 years ago. 2 operations have not fixed the problem. Only a course of prednisone for about 2 weeks gives it back but unfortunately it's lost again about 3 days after finishing the course. I can only tell what I miss.
Fresh rain on the garden in the morning.
    Mowed grass.
The smell of the sea when I come home from a trip.
    The flowers in my garden.
    My wife and children.
The real taste and smell of my favourite foods.

It's a strange sense to lose for sure!

When I had covid that 2 week loss of smell was pure heaven.

You could tell what they were baking that day. I used to love when they were baking the Jaffa Cakes.

She left you, so how would your sense of smell factor in?

One thing I really appreciate when motorcycle riding is the different smells throughout a city. Each block smells a little different

    Indeed.

Like getting of a plane in a different country.

The overload of smells when I first hit Thailand over 20years ago was overwhelming .
