For a lazy, messy cook like me, it’s always better to let someone else do the cooking and washing up. Hence my preference for restaurant dining.
When my idea of home cooking is best suited to snacks like beans on toast, or boiled egg and ‘soldiers’, any labour saving device is potentially a welcome addition.
It doesn't matter if you care or not, frying still tastes better.
