But if you dont need the thermometer (which I almost never use, you can get this model for $134 less.

Dont listen to Cujo about the french fries , and for that matter anything else LOL
He is right that the air fryer is just a glorified small convection oven, but if designed right the hot air circulation makes ir cook and crisp food a lot faster, that's why most air fryer designs are circular,
My air fryer make perfect French fries every time, what you need to do is get an oil sprayer
    Amazon.com
and spray the potatoes with olive oil, half way through, tosh them around (the potatoes) and continue, perfect every time.
If you like french fries and you don't already have one , get a french fry press, simply wash a potato put it in the press, and squeeze. Voila french fries ready for cooking in a second.

The sooner you fall behind, the more time you have to catch up.

Disagree, you still don't get chips (fries).
I use my 'air fryer' all the time but never for chips.
If you want to know how to make perfect fish and chips at home just ask.

If you are such an adept chef, then why have you never posted pics in any of the cooking threads?

You can make brilliant chips in an air fryer in no time at all.

    Slice the spuds.

Soak them in water for half an hour.

Dry them and chuck them in a ziploc with some olive oil, salt, pepper

Give em a good shake every five minutes for 20 mins or so.

Chuck em in the air fryer and have at it. The oil that has soaked into the potatoes means they are frying.

Come out crispy and tasty every time.

And none of those poofy french fry shit either, proper, solid, chunky chips.
The next post may be brought to you by my little bitch Spamdreth

I have a long time ago. These days I can't be fucked stopping in the process, getting my camera, taking pics, then after, downloading them to the computer, then uploading them to TD, (or whatever the terminology might be)
    In short.
    I can't be fucked.

Wouldn't that depend on how you cut the spuds?
I cut them irregularly so you get the thin crunchy ones as well.

And for those of us who don't deep-fry at home, these Jockey whips come up a treat in airfryers. I give them a light spray with EVOO and season them with garlic salt a few times while shaking them around during the 12 minute cooking process. Try them once, trust me.

And here's my airfryer, must be about 3 years old now and was the most basic medium-priced model on the shelf while I was looking to buy one just to see if cooking in them was ok or not. We use it a lot, it's got nothing more than a basket, a timer, and temp control and IMO that's all you need.

His kitchen is one of the most disgusting things I have seen on this forum, aside from the scat repo's he sent. Sick fuck that guy.

I also love fried Spam. I like it with mustard and sliced tomatoes in a sandwich.
Like you I also suffer from a guilty conscience and had not had it for years

It's a damn good sandwich, once every six months or so. Mustard is the perfect condiment for spam.

I'm impressed how clean HW airfryer is!

It's almost as if he never uses it and eats out all the time

I wonder if Snubs ordered an air fryer last night pissed up?

At least that's what he thought he bought until the post man arrives...

The secret is to clean them after each use, not each time Halley's comet passes overhead.

Just banged a couple of breaded chicken breasts in mine!

    Air fryers-20220604_180412-jpg

    Was a bit boring.

Shouldn't have cleaned it, all those flavours and juices wasted.

Thanks for all the tips I've been using it as Hair Dryer , thought it was fast, does produce a permanent wave with a faint trace of tandoori chicken,!

Either shake your hair side to side or if really going for it remain still and have a nong run around in a spin, what you lose on the swings you'll gain n the roundabouts. Added bonus saves on the Aunty McAAss Sir or Brylcreem
