Three meals a day for life

So, a comment by Mendy caught my eye:

"Lunch for me was larb moo. If I was told I could only eat two meals for the rest of my life, I would pick larb moo for lunch and steak and kidney pie with mashed potato, carrots and peas for tea."

Which got me thinking, what would be my three (breakfast is a thing) meals a day for life. For some spice, where did you first experience it.

    here are mine:

Breakfast: Buckwheat chapatis, curry sauce and teh tarik. Hole in the wall restaurant corner of Serangoon and Desker, Singapore. Had this as my Sunday breakfast for a few years (before video shopping in the Desker back lanes - cough)

Lunch: Seafood hor fun. National University Hospital Singapore - Work lunch for a few years. Cooked to order - amazing each time.

Dinner: Dhal bhat. Kathmandu, Nepal. Holiday. Cooked myself many times as a comfort food.

Have had better dishes than each - but for the long haul....

Dhal bhat! Dhal bhat! It’s one of those things, like instant noodles, that I only eat when nothing else is available.

Breakfast: Khao man gui. Best khao man gui is across from Lanna Golf Course. I miss it more than anything.

Lunch: Dim sum from Hong Kong Teahouse in San Francisco.

Dinner: Many a good steak house which serves martinis and nice red wine.

^ If it’s for the long haul. Totally different story. Smoothie for breakfast. Low carb boring food for lunch. Maybe something nice at dinner. Maybe.

Was aiming at long haul. Obviously no three dishes would be sustainable in terms of nutrients, but just things you could face day after day.

Brings to mind two other possible threads. Your go to foods, and your ideal days three meals.

    See how tomorrow.

    Nice one Nid.

I'm gonna have a big think about this on the morrow, if we're getting serious.

But the steak and kidney pie is sacrosanct... I could eat it for all three (health allowing).

2 early lattes from me machine. Cycle 1-1.5 hours. Bacon Omelette and cup of tea.

Have that everyday now anyway so no need to change perfection.

Homemade Larb moo with fried egg on top.

Pizza, bbq ribs, rare wagyu tenderloin, Jug of Bavarian weizen and a sofa to lay on for dessert.

Breakfast: Couple of eggs (eggs are very versatile), coffee

Lunch: Soups and sandwiches (incredibly diverse selection of soups and sandwiches)

Evening: Skip it. Not much of an after sundown eater.

A friend of mine lost 20kg by only eating between noon and 6:00pm.

    Long haul:

Eggs any style and smoked salmon on multigrain toast, Greek yoghurt.

    Roast chicken, mixed veg, gravy.

Medium rare steak, mashed potatoes, mixed veg, side salad.
    ‐‐---------------‐---------------------------------------------

Short haul would be very different though!

Not that difficult if you don't have an extremely limited experience of the world and its food.

You'll be wanting a full English to kick off with OR a Sarawak laksa.

For lunch it's a banana leaf curry from Velloo Villas in Penang. Non negotiable.

For dinner it's a Korean BBQ with hanwoo beef and cuts of pork which include moksal and samgyeupsal. This will be supplemented by lashings of Japanese beer (preferably Suntory).

I'd also ask the Gods to acquiesce to my peccadilloes of cooked meats, pickles, bread and fine cheeses from Italy and the UK at various times throughout the day.

Breakfast smoothie with bananas and berries.

Lunch would be a fresh crispy baguette with tuna, mayo, salad.
Dinner would be a Steak with all the roast trimmings.

    Massive fart, wake.

    Read TD with hand job.

Bacon, black pudding and egg toasted sandwich - pint of orange juice - strong black tea

Roast beef with all the trimmings and Yorkshire puddings - at least 3 pints of the black stuff - apple crumble with custard

A curry with naan, pilau rice and poppadoms - at least 3 big bottles of cobra - strawberries and meringue

Scotch - preferably Glenlivet 12 or Aberfeldy 12 with a good period book and a blow job

    Massive fart, sleep.
