I'm a little surprised about the reaction this is getting on YouTube. I'd say this is par for the course in the greater Vancouver area whether it's chilliwack abbotsford or Surrey. The biggest past time for young teens growing up in the suburbs is getting drunk. And when you get your driver's license , reckless driving becomes a big past time.

It's probably more like this in everyone's area at least in north America than ppl realize

I'll grant though , in the late 90's and early 2000's , there was almost no druggies and hobos around. I remember getting pissed wandering around these areas and not running into one druggie. Now that's completely changed.

One of my best friends lived in abbotsford. In the early 90's , there was a fair bit of street fights. Gen X'ers were a rough bunch. We never fucked with them.

Check out 2017. Some say it's better. A van does a U turn and intentionally wipes out the stop sign. A minute later , someone steals the stop sign

My son lives there so I'm not going to be too negative on the place.

Chilliwack is the birthplace of Bachman Turner Overdrive, big in Canadian music circles. "Taking care of business and all".

A very dispropropriate number of Punjabis to be found here. The old folks are very conservative but the young are given large amounts of money then cut lose on the hiways and byways of town. The results are a cause of great concern.

I've rarely seen as many churches but then I haven't been to the US midwest of south much. Chilliwack is about 1.5 hours from downtown Vancouver.

    Have a gas BS.

Bachman–Turner Overdrive, often abbreviated as BTO, were a Canadian rock band from Winnipeg, Manitoba

Chilliwack never really had this reputation at all when I was growing up. It's not that bad I don't think. Ppl used to brag about moving there. So I don't think it's that bad. This block is beside a highschool. If you set up a few good cameras sound any similar sized city in N America, I don't think the f footage would look that different from this.

Young suburban kids drink a lot and drive like nutters. This is normal

Btw I think Abbotsford is where the Punjabis are. Abby and Surrey. Chilliwack is more natives , Mennonites and heathens

Nah I find it somewhat entertaining because it's part of the Vancouver metro area. The first one has 1.3 million views. Ppl from all over the world watch it and look forward to the next one.

No it isn't. Metro Vancouver doesn't go east of Langley or Maple Ridge. Even Abbotsford isn't considered part of it.

Since this is an international forum , I included it.
    Wiki

Usage of the term "Greater Vancouver" is not consistent. In local use it tends to refer to urban and suburban areas only, and does not include parts of the regional district such as Bowen Island, although industries such as the film industry even include Squamish, Whistlerand Hope as being in "the Vancouver area" or "in Greater Vancouver". The business community often includes adjoining towns and cities such as Mission, Chilliwack, Abbotsford and Squamish within their use of the term "Greater Vancouver", though since the creation of the term "Metro Vancouver", that has come to be used in the media interchangeably with the name of the region and/or regional district.

If you Google Tim Bachman, you'll find that he has some affiliation with Chilliwack. People usually don't just fucking "make shit up". Jesus Christ. Obviously Simpson knew that and he got that mixed up with where the band was actually founded.

Har har "make shit up bruh" quite baffling.

I googled him. Absolutely nothing about Chilliwack on his wiki and the only affiliation I could find with Chilliwack was him appearing in court there on sex charges. Long after BTO was formed. You're making shit up again.

Well why the fuck was he charged in Chilliwack I wonder...

Maybe RS somehow got it mixed up with the band Chilliwack. I don't fucking know. Point is , ppl don't just "make shit up" and anyone who says that knows it. They just say it to rub it in like a fuckin twat

Chilliwack is a Canadian rock band centred on the singer and guitarist Bill Henderson. They were active from 1970 to 1988; Henderson reformed the band in 1997. The band started off with a progressive rock sound that incorporated elements of folk, indigenous, jazz and blues, before moving towards a more straight-ahead hard rock/pop rock sound by the mid-70s. Their six best-selling songs were "My Girl (Gone, Gone, Gone)",[3] "I Believe", "Whatcha Gonna Do", "Fly at Night", "Crazy Talk", and "Lonesome Mary.

    Rolling Stone wrote:

At their best, Chilliwack was the finest Canadian rock band, outrocking BTO and outwriting Burton Cummings. But a lack of consistency kept it from international success.
