If you have not heard anyone say Harris has a chance. is because it is not time to hear that yet.

When the time comes , if she is the candidate they put forward, the DNC PR machine will make her look like the Terminator . if she is a good candidate will depend on a lot of things , most important of who is her opponent. if trump is still out of jail and runs again, she will be a very good candidate, and the next president.
The sooner you fall behind, the more time you have to catch up.

Agree. Unfortunately pretty much sums it up no matter who the candidate is. Show me the $$$ and I will show you the winner. Most of the time.

Don't forget: She dropped out of the 2020 dem primaries for president before they had even begun — after a few debates and then seeing the low poll numbers.

She just can't perform on that level.

    Absolutely right.
In this time and age , in a country as big as the US , communications is the name of the game, and in a country that big communications cost a lot of money
Senator Paul Tsongas , who I knew from our affiliation with AHEPA and a stellar human being , was running against slick willie for the Democratic nomination, and at times was the front runner. He suspended his race in FL , the next primary was in NY where he did not campaign and did very well. In an interview afterwards he was asked that in view of his good showing in NY , was he sorry he dropped out in FL.
he said: "No because by the time we got to FL we had run out of money, the only reason we did well in NY is because we were not a threat to the opposition and they did not throw money at us, If I had not dropped out they would had spend a lot more money than me, they would had defined in ways I could not defend and I would have done a lot worst.
Mario Cuomo was the NY governor then, and was very much against Clinton, then they had a close door meeting, afterwards Mario Cuomo came out and endorses slick willie, When Clinton was elected Cuomo's son was nominated secretary of HUD, I guess because he was the best men for the job LOL Andrew Cuomo went to become Governor of NY and we all know the sad ending of that .
    That's American politics my friend.
Senator Paul Tsongas wend on to form the Concord Coalition with Republican Senator Warren Rudman, the main focus of the collision was to control the affect that money had in the democratic process, sad to say they were not very affective.
I am sory to say that the American democratic process is irreparably broken .

Surely before this Pete is considered for president he has to sort out the container unloading and distribution mess.

...transitory situation...of much greater concern (and import) is the improvement of US infrastructure over the coming years...if he can use his time in office to start/complete the necessary projects, his name (or at least a pronounceable epithet like Mayor Pete) will be on more political lips...

Lots of homophobic latinos and blacks, it's not only a political issue.

But they would still vote for her, I'd suggest.

That's not really something within his power though. External causes and factors.

Mind you, we're talking about a country where a significant number of people appear to think the president sets gas prices...

It is true. A lot of idiots buy into that. Here are a couple of examples...

Republicans Fight Covid Mandates, Then Blame Biden as Cases Rise - The New York Times

Majorities in new poll blame Biden, Congress for supply chain problem | TheHill

The lemmings swallow what gets poured down their throats.

The GOP just lie their gawdamn asses off because they know their base won't question it.

Where the Dems fail is they try to play too nice and their messaging sucks.

In a country where a significant number of people think that the President is satan-worshiping pedophile, ignorance on who controls gas prices seems unimportant.

Cant see someone who will get called President Butt getting a guernsey. I think age will catch up with Biden and Harris wont make the cut. I cant see trump getting another shot. Bernie is too old and radical for americans. I would imagine it will be someone who can be tough with the Chinese. They will need to be to counter Trump. Has anyone got a Democrat that can take on Trump in regards to China?
